If you’re looking for help, you should really check with the guy’s who have tried it on Twitter. Try asking guys who have already done it, most of them will be more than happy to help.
It’s a tricky SEO puzzle, it’s probably the best way I can describe it. Clues to the passwords are scattered throughout the site, if you know your SEO techniques you’ll be able to find them. Hopefully.
At the moment the site is suffering ridiculously from the sheer weight of StumbleUpon traffic which is why it might appear to be slow or dead, so sorry about that – hopefully it’ll be back up and running properly soon enough.
Some things you’ll probably find useful when trying to solve the game:
- Firefox & Internet Explorer
- Web Developer Toolbar
- Aaron Wall’s excellent SEO for Firefox
- The ability to look for hidden text
- Ctrl + F
- A sense of humour
If people get seriously stuck on certain parts, I’ll post a few more clues here and there. It’s also worth mentioning that you can use the back button if you get a question wrong and it’ll save you from having to go through answering all the questions again, needlessly. If you think you’ve found the answer but it doesn’t seem to be working, make sure you’re putting the answer in in lowercase.
Also, just for people that are stuck on question 1 – by now you’ve probably found the hidden text. This one is so easy.
Hint: #13 is where the blackhats have the upper hand
For #14 – it’s best to not use a browser with the Google toolbar installed, it can create problems. Try opening it in Chrome or IE if you don’t want to disable the toolbar in Firefox.
